Compressed air is used extensively to drive many critical operations on a mine-site and CAPS Rental division offers the customer choice over capital expenditure by having a complete ‘mine spec’ rental offering.
This rental offering has a myriad of options including short term (one week to three months) or long term (three months and above), giving the customer absolute flexibility depending on their needs. CAPS can also offer a Rent to Purchase Option (RPO).
CAPS has an extensive range of ‘mine ready’ rental air compressors available, ranging from 400cfm trailer mounted portable diesel compressors, through to large skid mounted diesel or electric powered compressors up to 1500cfm.
Some of the electric compressors, such as the 160kW Ingersoll-Rand machine can be configured for 415v or 1000v for above and underground applications.
In recent times, CAPS has increased its stock of rental equipment to satisfy increased demand. Rental continues to be an increasingly popular choice over capital outlay to satisfy needs.
The 1000cfm electric driven ‘Miners Pack’ proving very popular, particularly in the Goldfields WA and Mackay QLD regions.
The CAPS’ Miner’s Pack is 160kW compressor with 1000v motor fitted to a skid with a rock guard roof, air receiver tank and a fire suppression system.
When building these, CAPS also adds features such as high dust filtration, outdoor modifications, sealed electrical enclosures, power isolation switches, reinforced earth bars and marine windows. Adding these ensures ensures the longevity and reliability of its rental fleet.
The CAPS network
CAPS has a national network of locations across Australia, with the rental fleet available from all locations. All of the major mining regions are covered and CAPS has regular service routes around these areas.
Its head office in Perth also has a large stock pile of rental units ready for despatch to anywhere they are required nationally.
