Wacker Neuson Appoints Hekson as Official Agricultural Dealer for Mpumalanga

Wacker Neuson South Africa has appointed specialist agricultural equipment supplier Hekson as its official dealer for Mpumalanga, expanding access to its compact equipment range for farmers and agribusinesses in the Lowveld and greater Mbombela region.

The dealership agreement, concluded in Q1 2026, is part of Wacker Neuson’s strategy to bring its equipment closer to customers in one of South Africa’s most diverse agricultural zones — covering horticulture, fruit, field crops, livestock, forestry, and game farming.

A Partnership Built on Service, Not Just Sales

According to Eric Berrington, Wacker Neuson Regional Manager for Gauteng, Limpopo and Mpumalanga, the focus was on finding a partner with deep local insight and strong after-sales capability.

“It was not about the size of the dealership or the number of brands it carries. It’s about whether the business truly understands its customers’ operations and can provide lasting support. Hekson proved equal to every requirement.”

Founded in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic, Hekson was established by Director Henrik du Toit and built from the ground up trading used farm equipment. The company has since grown into a full-service agricultural equipment supplier, with a strong reputation for repairs, maintenance, orchard sprayer servicing, and its own range of locally designed and manufactured products.

With a dedicated in-house technician and a service-driven approach, Hekson provides the ideal platform to support Wacker Neuson’s compact equipment portfolio in the region.

These machines are ideally suited for year-round agricultural operations, offering multi-task versatility beyond single-use applications.

The strategy is to help farmers maximize return on investment by deploying one machine across multiple tasks.”Having experience in design and manufacturing, I can truly appreciate the practicality and impressive design of the Wacker Neuson line. We expect excavators and telehandlers to be best sellers,” said Henrik du Toit, Director of Hekson.

Local Support Backed by a Global ManufacturerHekson will provide full after-sales support including servicing, maintenance, and access to genuine Wacker Neuson parts — critical for agricultural customers working to tight seasonal deadlines.

Wacker Neuson South Africa will support the partnership with dealer training, specialist technical expertise, and application-based sales support to ensure customers get the right machine configuration for their specific operation.”The purchase of a machine is only one part of the customer’s relationship with the brand. Hekson plays a vital role in bridging global machinery with local service and customer care,” added Berrington.

“This partnership gives customers in Mpumalanga access to a broader portfolio of compact machines backed by German engineering, quality and reliability,” concluded du Toit.Looking for Wacker Neuson equipment in Mpumalanga?
