The Loadall JCB 525-60E electric telehandler has been awarded “Rental Product of the Year” at the 14th edition of the European Rental Awards.
The awards were jointly organised by the European Rental Association (ERA) and International Rental News (IRN) magazine.
Launched last year, the 525-60E is JCB’s first all-electric telehandler model, pioneering this type of machine since 1977.
The ERA Awards jury presented the award with this motivation: “JCB is responding to the demand of the rental market for clean, low-emission machines, and the new Loadall electric telehandler, in addition to being an effective and productive machine, is also an important statement of intent.”
Designed to offer the same performance as the conventional diesel engine machine, the 525-60E offers a zero-emission load handling solution. An additional benefit of electric operation is the significant reduction in noise levels, which makes the JCB Loadall suitable for extended operation on sensitive urban construction sites.
The exterior dimensions of the 525-60E are unchanged from its diesel counterpart, as is the external turning radius of 3.7 meters. The maximum lifting capacity is 2,500 kilograms, with a maximum load of 2,000 kilograms at a lifting height of 6 meters. The machine has been designed to provide cycle times similar to those of its diesel counterpart, without loss of performance.
